Cardboard and paper are collected for recycling at the WRRC.
It is then bailed on site and shipped up to Oji Full Circle in Auckland.
At Oji the cardboard and paper are further sorted and separated.
It is then shredded and pulped then combined with new pulp (woodchips).
The pulp is filtered to remove any glue, staples or ink.
The pulp is then flattened out by a machine to make new paper product or cardboard product.
